When Mak Cik Bawang Starts Becoming More Understanding

Assalamualaikum people, This year, instead of asking 'Bila nak kahwin?', makcik2 yg dtg beraya asked me 'Dah ada calon belum?', and when I said no, they adviced me to start searching for one. I love this because it shows me that they understand the fact that I had been busy with studies during uni and they were not judging me for not having 'marriage' as my top priority back then. It als o proves that people now are starting to adapt to the fact that it's common for 23+ yo to want to focus on building ourselves first before deciding to share our lives with another person. Yes, I know that it's about time to start thinking about marriage, but having less pressure about it is highly appreciated. At least I won't be choosing a life partner in haste and just simply out of desperation. 💁🏻‍♀️

Not All Men are Trash. Please.

Image
Assalamualaikum. Recently, the phrase 'Men are trash' has been widely spread among Twitter users. For me, this phrase is a very degrading & insulting phrase to be used, when there are so many great men all around us (for me: the men in my family & my male friends). Some may be, fine, but please don't generalize. Don't let hatred cloud your judgement. Let's be nice. Source: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/54/2b/ae/542bae7454d12669a88cd1f91ed6b856.jpg

Just a Short Rant.

Assalamualaikum.. If you don't like something that someone is doing, just TELL THEM. Don't just give hints and EXPECT them to understand. Some people are just SLOW. Not everyone's a MIND READER like you, you know... P/s: It's quite hurtful when your hard work gets ignored and pushed to the side, just because s/he couldn't even be bothered to care. These are just some of the things that make me want to be selfish too. *sigh* Source: pinterest.com

My Deleted Instastories

Image
Assalamualaikum guys.. Recently, I've downloaded Steam on my laptop. For those who don't know, it's like Playstore fro games, where we download games (obviously). So, this would mean that my laptop's memory would become REAALLLYYY LOW because of how much data and space the games take up. Hence, I would have to now clear up my Picture and Video files to spare more room for the games. Plus, I also linked my laptop to my iPhone, which syncs all my pictures and video taken, thus resulting in the crazy amount of pictures on my laptop currently. Going through all the folders, I came across my Instastories. I don't want to brag, but I usually laugh at myself because I think I'm funny enough.  Yes, I'm a bit weird. Not going to deny that. ANYWAY.  Instead of deleting them, I think I'd like to save them somewhere just for my own personal entertainment, so I'd post it here.  Well, God knows who even reads my blog posts anymore, so this...

PLEASE, Focus on the Bigger Issues First.

Assalamualaikum.. Recently, a video went viral in Malaysia, where a women carrying her small child was seen 'lashing out' to her husband in the middle of a mall when she discovered that her husband had been cheating on her with another women. The video showed that the women was scolding her husband who was with his girlfriend in front of everyone (including the child she was carrying), and the video ended with the wife slapping her husband. Here's the videos; Soooo.. Let's talk about one particular comment on this video, which is; "buat lah kat suami awak mcm tu .. nak bagitahu je syurga bawah kaki suami .. mcm mana pon dia tetap suami awak .. pangkat dia adalah paling tinggi selepas Allah dan Rasul bagi seorang isteri  .. dia SUAMI .. sbb tu dlm Alquran disebut isteri kena PATUH..", (Someone on Twitter, 2018) This person did reply to several of the comments on this particular tweet, so we can see his stand on this issue. Okay. This is what...

My View on Social Media Influencers' Ways of 'Spreading Awareness'.

Image
Assalamualaikum everyone. Today, there's something that I'd like to point out; I don’t believe in compromising what Allah has clearly stated as wrong.  He’s our creator.  He KNOWS what’s best for us sebab Allah Maha Mengetahui.  Dalam Islam pun, there are certain instances where something 'haram' changes to 'harus', like when the only food available is khinzir and you’re about to die if you don’t eat anything. Even in this case, Islamic scholars have a thorough debate because menukar hukum isn’t something that should be taken lightly. So, who are we to so easily use our emotions and logic to dictate what Islam says right or wrong, when even the pros are having a hard time doing so? But then, I do want to point out that yes, we can have discussions to enhance our knowledge, because that creates awareness, but please be mindful of how you reply to comments and do refrain yourself from spreading hatred and giving out malicious ideas. Please keep yo...

Me Being Too Easily Attached to My Belongings

Assalamualaikum! I'm currently packing my stuff up to send it back to Malaysia because I'll be moving out of my house for the third time in New Zealand since I am supposed to graduate this year. Anyway, right now I have to divide my stuff to several groups; 1. Stuff to throw away 2. Stuff to donate 3. Stuff to send back to Malaysia 4. Stuff to keep in New Zealand From all of this, the way I feel about throwing out my belongings is the worst feeling in the world because I am soooo attached to EVERYTHING omg! Every single item seems to hold it's own sentimental value in my heart. Don't get me wrong. I don't even like half of my stuff right now, but they all kinda hold some sort of memory that I'm actually too afraid to let go. Most of the stuff are the first items that I bought when I reached New Zealand 3 years ago. Some of it are; * My first shirt ~ That I got from my senior when I arrived to New Zealand, and it is CRAZY COMFY, but is now actually...
