Sharing my thoughts
Assalamualaikum everyone.. Today someone mentioned something interesting and I would just like to share my thoughts on it. The statement is as follows; “I AM A PROUD MUSLIM AND I VOTED YES TO SAME SEX MARRIAGE BECAUSE RELIGIOUS BELIEF SHOULD NOT JUSTIFY DISCRIMINATION..” I would not say who the speaker is, because that’s not the point. First things first, I would like to say that I’m not sure if I totally agree with this statement.. What I do believe is that no matter what, Islam would never allow us to agree with this. When Allah says it’s a sin, it’s a sin. Full stop. There’s no need to debate on it. But then, Islam does teach us TO BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER.
