Me Being Too Easily Attached to My Belongings
Assalamualaikum!
I'm currently packing my stuff up to send it back to Malaysia because I'll be moving out of my house for the third time in New Zealand since I am supposed to graduate this year.
Anyway, right now I have to divide my stuff to several groups;
1. Stuff to throw away
2. Stuff to donate
3. Stuff to send back to Malaysia
4. Stuff to keep in New Zealand
From all of this, the way I feel about throwing out my belongings is the worst feeling in the world because I am soooo attached to EVERYTHING omg!
Every single item seems to hold it's own sentimental value in my heart. Don't get me wrong. I don't even like half of my stuff right now, but they all kinda hold some sort of memory that I'm actually too afraid to let go. Most of the stuff are the first items that I bought when I reached New Zealand 3 years ago. Some of it are;
* My first shirt
~ That I got from my senior when I arrived to New Zealand, and it is CRAZY COMFY, but is now actually starting to get RAGGEDY btw, but I can't seem to let it go.
* My first wig
~ Which is LIME GREEN and I would NEVER even be found dead in it, but still kept it since it was a gift from my friends for my birthday three years ago; which was the first time I ever celebrated my birthday in New Zealand.
* My first coat
~ Which DOESN'T EVEN FIT ME properly, and I've only worn like 3 times for the past 3 years.
* My first shawl
~ Which I keep telling myself that I will use, but NEVER DID.
After living in a mess for the past few weeks (since I had been busy putting stuff into one plastic and then decided to take them out, but then changed my mind a few times, so everything is SCATTERED EVERYWHERE), I've decided to donate most of my stuff rather then throwing them away. I mean, it's going to be quite difficult on my part to find donation places, but at least people who need them could ACTUALLY USE them, right?
Anyway, wish me luck, okay! Now, I need to get back to cleaning up and you should get back to your life, dear reader..
Till then! Assalamualaikum!
