Playing with the Sakura flowers all by myself

Image
Hi again! Every year, New Zealand will be having a Sakura Festival at Palmerston North, cue to the Sakura blooming of course. So, my friends and I decided to have a sakura-themed-photoshoot-session, and I've decided with the throwing-flowers-above-your-head pose because I'm #lame. Anyway, this is a screenshot of the video; I had too much fun shooting this!  For someone who's playing alone, I shouldn't be looking so happy. 😂  Right after this trip, I actually started getting ill and was kind of bed-ridden for about a month. I did go to the compulsory classes though, but that was it. I had a bad fever and rashes appeared all over my body. It was a dreadful experience. Then, I finally decided to visit the clinic because I wasn't getting any better. Finally, the predicament was that I'm actually allergic to pollen. It doesn't sound that bad, but for someone who has eczema and hay fever, I wasn't even allowed to step out of the house for too ...

First time snowboarding at Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand

Image
Assalamualaikum everyone! This is actually a picture taken 2 years ago.  It was totally freezing and I couldn't feel my hands, nor my face. Plus, the snow was veeerrryyy slippery, hence the reason why I was standing awkwardly (I didn't want to slip and die).  It was actually the first and last time I went snowboarding. Not something I'd repeat though, but it's totally worth trying. Your whole body is going to be aching for over 2 weeks after, if you ever decide to give snowboarding try, but the experience is what matters, okay. 😉 I may not have been the best snowboard-er, but at least I had fun while doing it, right? So, that's all from me... Assalamualikum and byeeee..! Source: http://www.snowboardsteez.com

How does the African Indigenous Religions View the World of the ‘Afterlife’?

Image
Assalamualaikum and hi everyone! My life in New Zealand had been amazingly hectic and I'd been crazzzyyy busy keeping up with my grades and my life! Tons had happened but I'll tell you about that in another post. Anyway, this year, I've decided to take a Religion Studies (RELI) class to fulfill my degree's requirement; it's an extra class I had to take in order to graduate. For this class, we had to submit two essays and the instructions to do it is basically; Choose a religion Choose a topic Discuss and argue about something from your chosen topic in 1500 words Looks simple right? Source: https://www.vice.com/en_nz We had to discuss something that we have NOOOO IDEAA about, besides what we were taught in a 2-hour lecture per religion. Telling someone about a whole religion in just 2 hours is definitely not enough guys, whatever your point is. The speaker would only be able to grasp the basic principles of those religions in 2 hours. ...

The Difference Between 'Giving' and 'Taking'

Chain messaging on Whatsapp isn't uncommon but not all stories are worth retelling. However, the following had been among the ones that had touched my heart; Dikisahkan bahawa seorang guru yang alim berjalan-jalan bersama salah seorang anak muridnya, menyusuri ladang.

The Early-Marriage Trend

Image
Assalamualaikum and good morning people. Entering a new year means that I'll be adding another year to my age (which is now 23!). Yeah, some would be like; "Meh, still young laa", or "You're turning 23, not 53". Well, for me, age is actually a BIIGGG concern. With different age, comes different resposibilities and expectations. The society's expectation of a 12-year old girl and a 20+-year old women wouldn't be the same right? The main concern I have right now is MARRIAGE.. Source: http://replygif.net/405 Urghh... Every single time I'm at a wedding, everyone (especially the Mak Cik's) will be like; "When are you getting married", "Why aren't you married yet", "How are you still single", and the MOST ANNOYING QUESTION (OR STATEMENT) of all would be "Maybe you're too choosy laaaa"... Well, you can't expect me to marry the first guy I see on the sidewalk, can you? Source:...

OH NO, MY PICTURES!

Assalamualaikum. I'm sooo saaadddd...!! My hard disk just fell flat on the floor last week, and I didn't think it was going to be that bad. It was that bad! The whole disc is corrupted and I couldn't even recover the files inside. Oh my God.. Half of my life was in that hard disk! My pictures since I was in MRSM Pengkalan Chepa, to Kolej MARA Seremban, and then my whole first year in New Zealand. So, what did I do? I decided that I should start uploading my files to the cloud, like Facebook. Youtube and so on. Urgh, this is gonna be a whole lot of work.... I guess that's all from me today. Byeee!

My Experience Joining the Fly High Program (held by INTELEK) for the First Time

Image
Assalamualaikum everyone. Have you ever heard about Fly High? Basically, Fly High (FH) is kind of a preparation program made by the previous seniors to help students that are about to continue studying overseas, mainly New Zealand and Australia. I won't really make a whole essay about this, so you could just visit the organizer's page; https://www.facebook.com/IntelekET/   I can still remember my first time going to Fly High. It was in 2014, and that's like a million years ago for me. I can't believe that it has already been 3 years since then, but I can tell you that that program did an amazing job in helping me prepare myself to fly overseas. Who would've thought that I'm about to become a senior in a few months, huh. What I learnt from Fly High? 1. Prepare yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. However homesick I was, there was no way I'm buying a two-way ticket to Malaysia every semester break. My father's not ...
