2 Things I Hate the Most in Romance Novels.
Assalamualaikum.
Let's talk about books today, shall we...
Reading has always been one of my favourite hobbies.
I'm a romantic. I can't deny that.
So, my reading preferences would usually be from the romance section.
However, there are a few things that kind of bugs me when reading a book and could eventually kill my mood of wanting to finish reading it.
What is it?
Well...
1. Weak heroin characters.
I'm not a feminist, but I believe that in relationships, being firm and strong shouldn't only be applied by guys, but also girls.
I hate it when the female characters in a book are;
This is kind of the reason why I would stop reading a particular book altogether.
Endings like;
These 2 are kind of the top things I hate when reading a novel.
Everyone has their own opinion and preferences.
So, these are mine.
I guess, that's it. Till I have the 'want' to write again soon.
Goodbye.
Salam.

- Too Forgiving
- Too Clueless
Oh my God.
Please don't do this.
Girls, you should know that if a guys treats you differently from other girls (like being ALWAYS conveniently available when you need them, or somehow stops showing interest in other girls when they're with you), they would have, at least, a little kind of feeling towards you. Maybe not much, but there still is.
I don't think I believe with the phrase of "girls and boys being best friends". I don't really think the human mind works that way. One way or another, the attraction still exists, may it be a little or a lot.
2. Vague Endings.
This is kind of the reason why I would stop reading a particular book altogether.
Endings like;
- Maybe we'll meet again in the future
- We're trying to start our relationship with a fresh start
- Let's break up now and find someone who'll suit us better
When I read a book, I expect it to have an ending, not a start of a new story.
If I had wanted an unsolved story that 'leaves the ending to the readers imagination', I wouldn't be reading.
Instead, I would've just look at my life because only in life you don't know the future.
To me, reading is kind of an escapee from life.
A place where you could picture yourself as a character in the book and know how your life goes.
A place where I could imagine myself being happy with the 'love of my life', having a 'fulfilled life', and attaining the 'happily ever after'.
Giving me a vague ending doesn't really provide me with that kind of feeling, does it?
